Newt Stephens [Republican] announces his candidacy for District One County Commissioner.

Being a life long resident of Creek County, Mr. Stephens is committed to showing the residents of District One that through hard work and dedication he will work for their interests from day one.

Stephens, 48 is married to his wife Julie of twenty-eight years. They have two children Latisha Stephens and Natasha Stephens; son-in-law Clayton Stephens and one grandson Ryder Ray “Sport” Stephens.

Stephens is well known for his involvement and support of local FFA and 4-H chapters; where he enjoys working with the youth of our community. Serving as a Creek County Fairboard member for seven years; he has a great deal of influence on the major improvements at the local fairground facilities. Mr. Stephens also served not only Creek County but the State as North East District Vice President of Fairs and Festivals of Oklahoma; as well as First District Committee Man for the Creek County Republican Party.

Stephens has been locally employed with Fed Ex Freight as a local truck driver, for seventeen years. Through the years, Stephens has worked hard to support his family. So why is he putting so much effort into his campaign? Simple; his family, friends, neighbors and district residents.

As a resident of District one, I recognize the needs of the local community and business developments to bring in new and additional revenue to our district and county. As your District 1 County Commissioner, I will work diligently to create a new line of communication between me and citizen’s of district one. I will also focus on serving County residents by not only improving our districts economic standings and development but insuring that their money is spent sensibly.

Any Creek County District One resident who would like to visit with me or gain further information pertaining to my campaign can contact me at newt2010@hughes.net.
